Yes - using the Database Connection & Query Monitor, IPSentry can connect to the remote database using a local Data Source.
You simply configure a data source on the system running IPSentry (see: Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Data Sources) to point to the SQL Server.
Now, the data source will be avialable for selection in the Database monitoring add-in from which you can monitor connectivity.
