IPS 5 just crashes after a few days

I am running IPS5 on a windows 2000 box and every week or every two weeks i notice it just stops running. I log into the box and see this error
Run-time error '50003':
Unexpected error
I have to click ok and restart IPS... any clue on what might be causing this?
In the event viewer i see something along the lines of
