Modem Connect Monitoring Add-In - Help Index

The IPSentry Modem Connect Monitoring Add-In provides you with the ability to ensure that dialup terminals and other modem connection devices awaiting connections are available.

In version 4.2.4, we have added simple scripting functionality which allows you to simulate a user login after connection.  This gives you the ability to detect connection failures as well as ensure that login sequences are correctly being provided and executed.

This functionality is ideal for testing dialup terminal servers and provides with confidence that:

• Your customers are not receiving BUSY signals.

• Your customers are not receiving RNA's (Ring No Answer)

• Your terminal servers are requesting login credentials.

• Your authentication system is functioning properly.

We have included a Sample Configuration that simulates a dialup attempt to an ISP, and attempts a scripted login sequenced.
