IPSentry - Options - Modem Settings
The Modem Settings tab provides access to setup
the default modem communications configuration that should be used by the
majority of your paging alerts.
The following options appear on this tab:
Modem
Communications Enabled
If this option is not checked, no paging functions will be performed. This
allows you to completely shutdown all paging functionality if (for example) your
modem or phone line becomes unusable.
Note: Pay special attention to this value if you are successfully
configuring and testing pager alerts, but you are not receiving pages when
IPSentry detects a failure.
Default
Modem Settings
The default modem settings area contains information regarding the TAPI
configuration that should be used by default when configuring pagers. The
box next to the properties button should contain the name of a valid TAPI
communications device that you will use to perform pager alerts.
Note: You can override these values on a pager-by-pager basis if required.
Properties (button)
Click this button to configure the basic modem settings such as port speed, data
settings, select the TAPI device, etc...
Note: You can override these values on a pager-by-pager basis.
Location
When configuring system TAPI devices, you can configure locations that will
utilize different dialing rules. Select the location you will use by
default.
Note: You can override these values on a pager-by-pager basis.
