IPSentry - Server Settings - Down-Time Schedule
IPSentry provides the ability to avoid checking system that are known to be off-line or otherwise unavailable at specific times of the day. This feature is referred to as the Down-Time Schedule.
The schedule is configured in 15 minutes intervals for each day of the week (Sun-Sat) and can be configured using text input of the schedule or the less-accurate method of dragging out a schedule on the time bars.
In order to access the down-time schedule for a specific monitored entry, simply hit the "Schedule" button on the Machine Options Editor window.
You can then configure the downtime schedule with your mouse, or by entering the schedule manually in the Sched field.
Using The Mouse
To disable monitoring during a specific time frame in a day, simply hold down the right mouse button and drag out the time frame you would like
in the schedule block. (Red).
To enable monitoring during a specific time frame in a day, simply hold down the left mouse button and drag out the time frame you would like to activate.
(Green)
You can double-click on the schedule for the specific day to set the entire day to enabled.
Using the Keyboard
Select the day of week by clicking on the appropriate Weekday Button.
You may enter the schedule manually in the Schedule box provided using the following format: from-to;from-to where from = start time, to = end time using the 24-hour clock:
Example: Entering 00:00-17:00;18:00-23:59 would cause IP Sentry to ignore the machine between 17:01 and 17:59 and only monitor the machine from Midnight to 5pm and then again from 6pm to midnight.
